Changing Views: Letting go... Changing my life completely!

Moving to the country is something some city dwellers wish for in the morning rush hour commute. Other city dwellers plan on making the country life part of their retirement years. But for most its just a passing thought or an outdated dream. Especially the city dwellers who have lived in the city for many years. You grow accustom to some city luxuries and conveniences. And then there are those like myself. Those who want to move to the country and live as soon as possible. Here's my story. I'll start by saying I am a country girl at heart. I was raised mostly in the country pines of Louisiana. After leaving my small town as a teenager, I thought I'd had enough of the country. I was ready to begin college and live in the city! Fast life, convenient stores, & 24 hour shopping appealed to me as a young adult. But there was always something missing! Something too fast about the city living. I missed the friendliness and community of country living. Once out of college and living in the city full-time I put aside all the thoughts of moving back to the country and beside, I thought country living was hard living. After getting married and raising children in the city the thought of moving back to the country once again came up in my mind. It started off very quiet but it finally got to a full blown roar! I decided to talk to my husband about it and we both wanted to give it a try. Problem was we were knee deep in city living! We had all the usual stuff. A house. A job (hubby worked). I owned my own business (home office). And not to mention our friends and family not wanting us to move! We decided if we were going to do it then now was the time. The children are grown and we were in a spot financially to sell-out and move! It was a big decision to make and it took a lot of planning. We had the universe on our side because things begin to fall in place. And then finally after months and months of preparation, it happened. My View Changed! Who does that? Pack up, settle up, and move to the country. Yes, it can be done! Even at our ages! We haven't looked back. At this point we are 8 months in. We have no regrets and life has begin again for us....
